CONVERSATION / Growth & reflection
CAI / PEOPLE. PRACTICE. PERSPECTIVE.A development conversation with an outcome
Choose one question about professional growth: a role transition, a collaboration or a learning decision. State what kind of perspective would help, and what you can bring to the exchange.

THE QUESTIONS TO BRING
- What decision am I considering?
- What would make the exchange useful?
- Which outcome has not been promised?
Bring the real setting
Choose one question about professional growth: a role transition, a collaboration or a learning decision. State what kind of perspective would help, and what you can bring to the exchange. A useful introduction names the kind of work involved, the decisions you actually own and the part of the experience you can discuss. The setting helps another person understand what your account can establish.
Make room for another perspective
Participation does not promise a job, referral, licence or paid opportunity. A worthwhile outcome may simply be a clearer next question and an accurately attributed resource to read. Leave space for a different working arrangement. Ask what is comparable before treating a shared word, job title or familiar task as proof of the same experience.
Give the conversation a boundary
Choose one question for this exchange. Explain what you are seeking: an account of another person’s experience, a reading recommendation or a discussion of a professional decision. A peer conversation should not be presented as an assessment, an endorsement or a promise of an opportunity.
Leave with a considered next step
Record the question you arrived with, what became clearer and what remains open. Attribute another person’s contribution in the way you agreed. If the next step needs an employer, an authorised source or a qualified educator, name that dependency rather than treating the exchange as an answer to everything.
These are conversation themes, with participation arrangements to be confirmed. No recurring session or host is implied.
